Perspectives on the Lotus Flower

In all the readings Ellie’s given folks over the last 5 years it never occurred to give herself a reading as if she were doing it for a stranger. Ellie went through the exact same inner process she does for someone else, and was quite shocked at the result. Here it is.

Centering deep within - in my usual fashion - to do a reading for myself I was suddenly thrust into this amazing vision. I was on the earth, then suddenly spirited out into space to see our solar system, and kept moving further out . . . to see our galaxy, then further out past galaxies and suns to see the entire universe as we know it. Then further out until our universe was surrounded in the living void where all I could see were the twinkling of lights far away.

As I was pulled further back in perspective, I suddenly popped out of the center of a lotus flower bud to hover there for a moment in complete stillness. I looked back inside the top opening of the the lotus flower bud and could see the sparkling lights of our Universe in the void. But looking outside the bud, I saw countless numbers of other lotus flower buds as far as I could see in all directions. It was as if I were in a calm ocean of lotus flowers bathed in a soft, healing light radiating a feeling of peacefulness, stillness. Each flower bud looked just like the one I had popped out of. Inside each lotus flower bud were other completely different worlds - life expressions, universes, dimensions? It was wild. To us our universe is unimaginably immense, yet in this vision I was shown our entire universe as only one expression of other equally immense existences.

Once I received that information, and understood some of the implications of it, everything suddenly reversed very quickly. I was once again moving back through the top of "our" lotus bud, into the void, seeing our universe coming closer, zooming past galaxies, moving into the milky way, then our galaxy within the milky way, seeing our solar system, then our planet, and then suddenly I popped back into my body.

This vision gave me a whole new perspective on the spiritual imagery of the lotus flower in the sacred art. It would also be interesting to go back to explore these other existences during Inner Journey meditations.
